HECHIA

Frequently asked questions

For customers

What is HECHIA?

A directory of local home-service professionals on the Costa del Sol — cleaning, pool care, gardening, repairs, installations and property checks. You find someone suitable and deal with them directly.

Does it cost anything to use?

No. Browsing, comparing and sending a request are free for customers. You pay only the professional, for the work they do.

How do I find someone?

Browse by category on the Services page, or go straight to Find a Professional. If the job needs to be assessed first — a repair, an installation, anything where the scope is not obvious — use Request a Quote and describe what you need.

Who decides the price?

The professional does. HECHIA does not set rates, does not publish price lists on anyone’s behalf and does not take a commission. Any figure you see comes from the professional, and the final price is what the two of you agree.

Do I pay through the website?

No. HECHIA does not process payments, hold funds or handle deposits and refunds. You pay the professional directly, by whatever method you both agree.

Are professionals checked?

Profiles are reviewed before they appear publicly. That review confirms a profile is genuine and complete. It is not an inspection of anyone’s work, a guarantee of quality, or a verification of qualifications. Ask for licences, insurance and references the same way you would with any tradesperson you found by recommendation.

What does “Unverified” mean on a profile?

That the business behind it has not yet claimed the profile or supplied documents to HECHIA. It does not mean the business is not genuine — only that we have not confirmed anything about it.

Something went wrong with the work. What now?

The agreement for the work is between you and the professional, so raise it with them first. HECHIA is not a party to that agreement and cannot order a refund or redo. We do want to know: write to info@hechia.com. Where a professional behaves unlawfully or abusively, or misrepresents themselves, their profile can be suspended or removed.

Which areas are covered?

The Costa del Sol — Marbella, Estepona, Benahavís, Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmádena and the surrounding coast. Each professional states the areas they travel to.

For professionals

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. No subscription, no charge per enquiry or lead, and no commission on work you win. You keep the full amount your customer pays you. If a paid feature is ever introduced it will be optional and priced clearly in advance.

How do I join?

Create a professional account from the Become a Professional page, add the services and areas you cover, and your profile goes for review before it is published.

How long does the review take?

Usually within 24 hours. If something is missing we will write to you rather than leave the profile sitting.

Who can list?

Independent professionals and companies entitled to carry out the work they offer in Spain, holding whatever registrations, licences and insurance those services require. The full terms are in the Professional Agreement.

Do I have to publish prices?

No. You can work entirely on quotes. If you do publish a price it must be one you will honour on the terms stated, or be clearly marked as indicative.

Can I remove my profile?

At any time. Your profile comes off public view. Work already agreed with a customer remains between you and them.

Can I reply to a review?

Reviews are not edited to improve a rating and are not removed for being unfavourable. They can be removed if abusive, fraudulent, unrelated to the service, or left by someone who never engaged you.

Still stuck?

Write to info@hechia.com or use the contact form. Looking for a tradesperson rather than help with the site? Go to the professionals directly — enquiries reach them, not us.
